Here at Ridge, we are working to write better ones. Better stories for ourselves, the world, and all the people in it. Time and time again, we hear stories of people in our church and community who have a better story to tell because this church exists. Stories of justice prevailing, loneliness overcome, brokenness healed, families redeemed, belonging found, and sons and daughters entering into a relationship with their Creator. Behind each of these stories exists a handful of volunteers. We invite you to...
Join the story. Join a team.
Waumba Land (Birth to Pre-K)
As we watch children take their first steps, say their first words, and learn to write their own names, we get to teach them that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. We aim to make a first impression of God's love that is a lasting one! Our volunteers can serve as small group leaders, lead worship with songs and motions, act out Bible stories, or even simply welcome families. We all work together to teach children that God made them and Jesus loves them.
Transit + RCIO (Middle and High school)
Our dream is be a place where teens can show up and be the real version of themselves. We want students to find themselves surrounded by friends and Jesus-following adults that care about them, no strings attached. We want them to laugh consistently, hear helpful messages, and have honest discussions around things that happen in their world. We have volunteers serving as group leaders, communicators, stage hosts, greeters, and in production.
Would you be surprised to find out that our Sunday morning production is run primarily by volunteers? Of course you would! It's surprising and impressive that a team of volunteers, most of which have no prior production experience, put on an excellent, dynamic, and relevant service each Sunday. Through a team effort, we are able to create services that help break down walls and redefine church. Our team is broken up into four main areas: Audio, Video/CG, Lighting, and Stage.
UpStreet (K-5th Grade)
To serve in UpStreet, you have to believe that church can be FUN, because in our environment, it is! We have a team of volunteers serving in a variety of roles, including greeting families, running the soundboard, preparing activities, story telling, leading worship, shopping for resources, and leading a small group. We all work together to lead elementary aged children into a growing relationship with Jesus!
When it comes to church, first impressions are everything! And that's where we come in. Our mission is simple - to treat people better than they expect to be treated! We do this by welcoming, informing, and serving our guests. Where will you find us? All over campus, from the street to the seat! We help keep guests safe, serve them in the parking lot, at the doors, provide coffee, answer questions, and help them find a seat in the auditorium.
